Portland_Receives_Epic_Snow

Portland got an epic dump of snow today. We usually get a dusting a couple of times a winter whereby every kid (not defined by age) in our neighborhood pulls out their sliding implement of choice (snowboard, innertube, cardboard, etc.) and makes their way to the hillside at Chapman Elementary. Today however, there was more than enough snow to pick up some decent speed and we have more in the forecast!

Vanillawood

These interiors are from a recent shoot with a new client called Vanillawood, a design/build firm here in Portland headed by the husband and wife team of James and Kricken Yaker. Great vision and style and a ton of fun to work with.

Adam_Dunlap

I had the opportunity to shoot some personal work with Adam Dunlap this week at Keller Fountain in downtown Portland, Oregon. He is an expert in Parkour , a practice that has been described as "moving from one point to another as smoothly, efficiently and quickly as possible using principally the abilities of the human body." I am sure that this is not the perfect description, but to me it resembles martial art combined with gymnastics as there are elements of speed, strength, balance and agility. The bottom line is it is pretty incredible to watch and Adam was amazing to photograph. Mad props to his agency Sports Unlimited for hooking us up.

Solomon

I did a quick shoot this morning with elite cyclocross racer Solomon Woras before the US Gran Prix event here in Portland. The seamless was set up in my living room and I had promised him that I would only need a half hour of his time (I think that we only used 20 minutes though). Super nice guy and pretty amazing athlete. These are some of the before's and you can see the finished piece on my portfolio site.
