Santa_Cruz

Down in Santa Cruz this past weekend for the Royal Robbins spring catalog shoot. Always a pleasure working with them as well as spending time in and around one of the coolest towns anywhere. Seriously, where else can you surf in the morning, ride epic single track in the redwoods in the afternoon and hop in the sea kayak for a sunset paddle? Of course the cost of living is the reality check so for now I'll just have to enjoy getting down there when I can. Thanks Tracy, Michelle, Clint and Susie for making it a great shoot!

HOTEL_California_(ok_just_Santa_Cruz)

This cute and historic little courtyard hotel overlooked the wharf and West Cliff Drive in Santa Cruz. Can't be the location. If you are wondering why I am posting a pic of our hotel read this.

Hood_River

I haven't explored the Hood River area nearly enough, but got to stay local this week with a few more scenarios for SmartWool's winter catalog. We shot both a hiking/camping scenario from a gorgeous grassy hillside that had snow covered Mt. Hood as the backdrop and then went into Post Canyon for some mountain biking. This is my favorite outtake of Bo who can throw down the "air bike" like no one else while standing in for our lighting test. I will someday have a gallery showing of him in this position from a variety of different locations. Thanks Sarah for the styling and Garett for coming out to support the creative vision.
